An active and successful student service on our campus is TRiO Student Support Services which provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education.
The goal of TRiO is to increase the retention and graduation rates of its participants and to help students make the transition from one level of higher education to the next.
Qualified participants receive intensive, supportive, and proactive services that prepare members for a rigorous educational pursuit. We visit 4-year universities, provide community service projects, and learn how to successfully navigate the college environment.
